Sahil

Sahil completed his PhD at the National Centre for Biological Sciences in India. He used mathematical and computational tools to understand structural properties of robust chemical networks that can store 1 bit of memory. He also discovered "precise" Excitation-Inhibition balance in the mouse hippocampus: random combinations of feedforward synaptic inputs from CA3->CA1 are balanced for excitation and inhibition. Currently, Sahil is investigating mechanisms of learning at the whole brain level in C elegans.
