Maoting is from China. She became obsessed with biology when she was a undergraduate in Zhejiang University. She is now working on the role of alternative splicing in the learning and memory of C.elegans. By analysing the difference of splicing pattern before and after learning using TRAP-sequencing, she is able to discover the genes with their alternative isoforms and their functions in olfactory learning.
